Heartwarming Photos Of Shelter Dogs Right After They Got Adopted

Animals | 2/26/20

Dogs might be the purest creatures on this planet. All they want is to give love and be loved in return. Sadly, many dogs end up living in shelters after being abandoned, surrendered, neglected or even abused. If those pups are lucky, their forever families will walk through the shelter doors and offer them another chance at a full and happy life.

These photos were taken right after these pups were officially adopted. You can see the joy in their faces as they set off on a new adventure with their new owners.

This is Jackson. One day ago he was cooped up in a cage. He was feeling rather sad about his situation. Then, his new owner came by the shelter and it was love at first sight.

Now he's a happy, healthy pup living his best life in his forever home. He's able to stretch out on his big new bed and enjoy his newfound freedom. Shelters do the best they can with their resources, but nothing compares to having a real home.
