Marriage Proposals That Got A Bit Weird
Some guys like to go all out with a flash mob and a hot air balloon ride to ask the love of their life to marry them. Other guys like to keep it classy and low key with a quiet dinner at home or a hike up a mountain. Either way, they know what would impress their lady. The men on this list, however, they have a thing or two to learn about proposing.
Too bad they'll never get to do it again (unless these marriages didn't work out, which, let's face it, some of them probably didn't).
A Publix Proposal

This guy decided to propose to his girlfriend at Publix in front of the Pub Subs. The grocery store is a pretty romantic place. If it wasn't, why would so many romantic comedies have people meeting there?
A Princess Engagement

This girl was at a princess-themed picnic with her friends when her boyfriend showed up dressed like Prince Charming and popped the question. She was very impressed. The internet was not.
Not The Nicest Location

We're not even sure what's going on here. Does he even have a ring? Did he just propose to her with a piece of food off of his plate? Where are these people?
Just Left The Bank

This guy sent his girlfriend a text saying that he was serious about marrying her. To prove it, he sent along a picture of ten thousand dollars in cash. He said he just left the bank.
A Romantic Parking Lot

Jim and Pam made a gas station proposal look cute on The Office. We're not sure that this parking lot proposal is quite as cute, though. It could be. Maybe they have a cute story like Jim and Pam.
A Pizza Proposal

This guy thought it would be a good idea to put a ring box inside a pizza box and ask his girlfriend to marry him that way. Apparently it worked, because she said yes.
Nails Are Important

This woman got engaged, but she didn't have her nails done. Luckily, her cousin was there to act as a hand model for her. Now it looks like she was super prepared with a red manicure.
"My Mullet Man"

This woman posted her engagement photo on Facebook with the caption, "My mullet man asked me to be his bride in the middle of a mud run." I thought mullets were out, but to each their own, I guess.
Not The First Bad Ring

Believe it or not, this is the second beer-themed ring that this newly engaged woman received. Her fiancé proposed to her with a Bush Light ring. This one came in the mail recently.
Engaged At McDonald's

Of all the places to get engaged, this guy chose a McDonald's restaurant in his neighborhood. McDonald's even decided to share the happy news on their Facebook page. Congrats, guys.
A Little Help From A Doormat

This guy decided to propose to his girlfriend with a custom made doormat. What happens after she says yes? They won't be able to use the doormat anymore. Mr. Thomas didn't think ahead.
Oozing Privilege

This woman posted her engagement photo on Facebook with the caption, "Yesterday my darling proposed to me in the Luis Vuitton store. 2020 has been the most amazing year ever." Everybody else living in 2020 begs to differ.
Take A Shot On Me

Somebody, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that those are bullets in the shape of a heart. Are there bullets that are called Chance bullets, or are they asking their partner to take a shot?
Engaged Without A Shirt On

Casual proposals are definitely a thing, but it seems like the only reason you should get proposed to without a shirt on is if you're at the beach. There is not a body of water in sight in this photo.
Not The Ring She Was Hoping For

This girl isn't so happy with her ring, but her now-fiancé told her it was his grandmother's ring, and pearl is her birthstone, so she's coming to terms with it.
An Absentee Fiancé

This guy has no idea where Amanda is and he clearly did something pretty bad to her, and yet he thinks this is the "grand gesture" that's going to get her back.
She Said No

Well, wouldn't you also say no if your boyfriend proposed to you by writing on a Jeep with window markers? This whole thing was a bad idea. At least she knew better than to say yes.
The Wrong Time

This woman posted her engagement photos with the caption, "He popped the question on a day spent with all of my family after my brother's funeral. We all needed this happiness."
How Did Your Spouse Propose?

Someone asked the women of Facebook to reveal how their spouse proposed to them. This woman said that her husband proposed underwater. No, not in the ocean. In her family's pool.
A Hashbrown Proposal

We're glad this person reached out for advice before attempting to propose with a hashbrown. That could have been really awful. Also, his girlfriend could have accidentally swallowed the ring.
A Sticky Situation

This guy thought it would be a good idea to propose by covering his body in Nutella and putting the ring in a mini Nutella jar. What the heck was he thinking?
Why, Though?

This whole thing makes so little sense to me. Every time you look at these photos you see something more horrifying. Like, you realize that's his back, right? And why those leggings?
I'm Screaming

Okay, this may be the most disturbing proposal image I have ever seen. Alice, absolutely do not marry that man. Don't marry anybody who would put a diamond ring on a cow's udder.
A Hamburger Proposal

Men of the internet, listen up. This is not the way to do it. Find a different way. On a separate note, is anybody really craving a hamburger all of a sudden?
Right In The Nugget

In general, it's best to avoid any kind of proposal that involves pushing a diamond ring into meat. You know what? Don't push diamond rings into food of any kind.
It Started With A Beer

This guy asked his girlfriend to go get him a beer from the fridge, and that was how he proposed. Apparently, their relationship started in much the same way. She thinks it's cute.
Back To Bumble

This man proposed to his now-wife by sending her a message on Bumble. What's even worse is that he asked her if he still needed to get down on one knee.
More Than One Beer

That other guy proposed to his girlfriend with one can of beer. This guy is taking things to another level. He used four bottles of Guinness, one for each word of that very important question.
Live Mas

Thankfully, this didn't actually happen. We do have to give this girl props for coming up with the funniest engagement story ever, though. She seriously deserves a Pulitzer for this masterpiece.
Normalize It

Look, we have nothing against women proposing to men. Sometimes you have to flip the script. But she might want to find a better location for her next proposal if this relationship doesn't work out.
