The tragedy continued when she learned that she needed to inform her husband's mistress of his death.
A Viral Video On TikTok Tells A Wild Story
Bridgette Davis, 36, from Cincinnati, used her TikTok profile to share a now-viral video with text captions that said: "When your husband of 10 years dies and you have to tell his mistress."
After receiving thousands of comments, Bridgette made a bunch more videos to explain the situation further.
Bridgette Texted Her Husband's Mistress After He Passed Away
In the original clip, she shared a screenshot of the text exchange she had with the mystery woman.
While the mistress seemed shocked to learn of his death, Bridgette did not have sympathy and simply responded with a curt "No" when asked about visiting the burial location.
Some Commenters Thought She Should Have Been Kinder To The Mistress
Viewers of the TikTok video had mixed reactions to Bridgette's revelation.
Some people thought she should at least have told the woman where he was buried, but Bridgette hit back in another video with the reason she was so short toward the mistress.
Bridgette Had Been With Her Husband For 16 Years
In a follow-up video, Bridgette shared screenshots of a different text exchange with the mistress wherein the woman admits she knew that she was dating a married man.
She also told the woman flat out "I know nothing about you."
The Couple Had Temporarily Separated To Work On Their Marriage
Bridgette also detailed how she and her husband had temporarily separated a few months before his passing with the hopes of reconciling after some time apart.
They continued to see each other regularly to spend time as a family with their daughters.
She Found Out He Was Cheating With Another Woman
Unfortunately, during this time, she started to suspect he was being unfaithful and found things that confirmed her suspicions both in his phone and around the home.
She said, "It was so much worse than I could have ever imagined."
Some Commenters Came For The Mistress
Not everyone was as quick to judge Bridgette and she did receive hundreds of comments from people who had no sympathy for the mistress woman.
Someone even admitted they would tell the mistress a wrong location to send her on an unfortunate journey to nowhere.
